BATAMCLICK.COM: The charm of Batam City as a leading investment destination in Indonesia continues to captivate the world. A prominent Italian company visited the Batam Indonesia Free Zone Authority (BP Batam) on Wednesday (22/1/2025) to explore investment opportunities.
The visit, led by the Chairman of the Kepri Chapter of the Indonesian Employers’ Association (APINDO), Stanly Rocky, was warmly welcomed by BP Batam’s Head of Public Relations, Promotion, and Protocol Bureau, Ariastuty Sirait, along with her team at the BP Batam Marketing Center.
The primary objective of the visit was to delve deeper into Batam’s investment potential. After attending BP Batam’s presentation, the Italian company representatives expressed their admiration for Batam’s readiness to meet investor needs.
“We never expected Batam to have all the qualifications we were looking for. We also hope the planned environmentally friendly infrastructure developments can soon become a reality in Batam,” said one of the investors.
They highlighted several flagship projects, including the development of floating solar power plants (PLTS) at Tembesi and Duriangkang Reservoirs, as proof of BP Batam’s commitment to environmental issues. Additionally, the planned construction of a Light Rapid Transit (LRT) system in Batam was considered a smart solution to reduce traffic congestion and carbon emissions.
Responding to their enthusiasm, Ariastuty Sirait reiterated BP Batam’s full support for the proposed investments.
“BP Batam will fully support every proposed investment plan. We hope that with APINDO Kepri’s support, the process will run smoothly and bring great benefits to all parties,” said Ariastuty.
With modern infrastructure and a commitment to sustainability, Batam continues to solidify its position as a preferred investment destination, not only for national but also international investors.
