BATAMCLICK.COM: Pelindo Tanjungpinang Branch, located in the Riau Islands Province (Kepri), is set to increase passenger terminal entry fees at Sri Bintan Pura (SBP) Port starting February 1, 2025.
Tonny Hendra Cahyadi, General Manager of Pelindo Tanjungpinang Branch, stated that the planned tariff increase has undergone administrative processes and public outreach since 2023.
“Initially, the tariff adjustment was scheduled for 2023. However, due to requests for postponement, the increase has been delayed for more than a year,” said Tonny in Tanjungpinang on Sunday.
Tonny explained that the new terminal fees include Value Added Tax (VAT). The decision to increase tariffs was made as the current rates have not been adjusted since 2017, despite rising operational costs at the passenger terminal.
“This adjustment also considers the rise in Tanjungpinang’s regional minimum wage (UMK), which affects labor costs, particularly for cleaning and operational staff at SBP Port,” he added.
The updated terminal fee structure, effective February 1, 2025, is as follows:
- Domestic Terminal Fees:
- Previous rate: Rp10,000/person
- New rate: Rp15,000/person
- International Terminal Fees:
- Indonesian Citizens (WNI):
- Previous rate: Rp40,000/person
- New rate: Rp75,000/person
- Foreign Citizens (WNA):
- Previous rate: Rp60,000/person
- New rate: Rp100,000/person
- Indonesian Citizens (WNI):
This adjustment aims to support better terminal management and provide more optimal services for passengers.
