BATAMCLICK.COM -Kundur Barat, Riau Islands: Hundreds of residents from Gemuruh Village, Kundur Barat, took advantage of the free healthcare services provided by PT Timah Tbk’s Mobile Clinic. This initiative is part of the company’s commitment to improving public health, especially in remote areas.
“Alhamdulillah, around 104 residents enthusiastically came to get free medical check-ups at PT Timah’s Mobile Clinic,” said PT Timah’s Head of Corporate Communication, Anggi Siahaan, in Pangkalpinang on Wednesday.
The Mobile Clinic travels across PT Timah’s operational areas, offering free consultations, medical check-ups, and treatment. “For people living in island regions, easy access to healthcare is essential. That’s why PT Timah brought its Mobile Clinic to Dusun I, Gemuruh Village, Kundur Barat,” Anggi explained.
Yusri, the head of Dusun I, expressed his appreciation for the initiative, highlighting how it benefits villagers who struggle to reach healthcare facilities.
“Many residents here have to travel long distances just to see a doctor. With this mobile clinic, they can get medical check-ups right in the village without any hassle,” he said.
He also thanked PT Timah for providing free healthcare and hoped the Mobile Clinic would continue visiting their village and surrounding areas more frequently.
“On behalf of the community, I sincerely thank PT Timah for bringing this service to us. Hopefully, the Mobile Clinic can come more often, not just here but also to other nearby villages,” Yusri concluded.
