Panglima TNI Supervises Distribution of Free Nutritious Meals for Students in Cimahi

BATAMCLICK – Cimahi, West JavaGeneral Agus Subiyanto, the Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), personally supervised the distribution of Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) for students at SDN Pasirkaliki 2 in Cimahi, West Java, on Thursday, February 6th.

The event began around 11:40 AM local time, with General Agus joined by the Acting Mayor of Cimahi, Benny Bachtiar. Agus visited one of the classrooms, where he handed out meal packages to students while engaging with them.

The meal package for each student consisted of rice, chicken, vegetables, dragon fruit, and milk.

While the students were enjoying their meal, General Agus proceeded to distribute snack packages to all the students present at the school.

Acting Mayor Benny Bachtiar emphasized that the MBG program is directly supervised by the TNI to ensure its effective implementation. “The Commander of the TNI is highly concerned about this program’s execution and personally checked what needs improvement. The results of this visit will be discussed at the national level,” Benny explained.

Benny further clarified that while the local government supports the program’s execution, all funding for the initiative comes from the central government. “We are here to support, especially in ensuring the health standards of the program. However, all financing is handled by the central government, with no local budget involved,” he added.
