BATAMCLICK.COM: The Batam City Government, through the Department of Culture and Tourism (Disbudpar), is once again hosting the highly anticipated 6th Batam Wonderfood and Art Ramadhan (BWR) 2025. This annual event will take place from February 28 to March 22, 2025, at Dataran Dang Anom, Batam.
BWR 2025 will feature over 100 vendors, offering a diverse selection of delicious cuisine, local products, and traditional Ramadhan dishes. The festival is also a perfect destination for families, with the Muslim Children’s Festival showcasing exciting competitions and activities. Up to 1,000 participants are expected to join, making it a meaningful experience for the younger generation.
Beyond food and festivities, BWR 2025 also embraces the spirit of giving by hosting a special community iftar (breaking fast) with 1,000 orphans and underprivileged individuals, fostering warmth and solidarity during the holy month.
Another highlight is the Community Gathering, which brings together various local communities in Batam to strengthen friendships and share cultural experiences. For visitors seeking a more exclusive dining experience, special iftar spots with curated meal packages will be available.
Head of Batam’s Department of Culture and Tourism, Ardiwinata, expressed his excitement about this year’s event.
“We are thrilled to bring back Batam Wonderfood and Art Ramadhan for the sixth time. This event not only celebrates the holy month but also provides a platform for local entrepreneurs to showcase their talents and grow their businesses. We hope BWR 2025 will strengthen social ties in Batam while promoting our rich culinary and cultural heritage,” said Ardi during a site inspection on Friday, February 7, 2025.
